The Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto, under the leadership of Center Chief Rheo Henry M. Rodriguez, successfully conducted its annual Earthquake Drill on November 12, 2025, as part of its ongoing commitment to its Occupational Health and Safety Program.
The seminar and earthquake drill were facilitated by Mr. Ron Dexter V. Robles and his team from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) – Guiguinto. Participants were briefed on proactive preparedness strategies, essential safety protocols, and the proper actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake.
The activity also featured an earthquake injury-response simulation led by TESDA and MDRRMO personnel. The responders demonstrated essential first-aid practices such as condition assessment, injury stabilization, improvised bandaging, and proper stretcher handling. Techniques for assisting mobile but injured individuals were also shown, ensuring safe and guided evacuation. The scenario concluded with careful transport of the simulated victim to the triage area, reflecting seamless teamwork and compliance with emergency standards. These practical exercises significantly enhanced participants’ confidence and preparedness for actual emergencies.
The activity underscored TESDA RTCCL-Guiguinto’s dedication to strengthening disaster readiness among its personnel and trainees, with active participation from the TESDA Bulacan Provincial Office and the Korea-Philippines Information Technology Training Center – Bulacan. The collaborative efforts of all participants further highlighted the importance of fostering a strong culture of safety, vigilance, and disaster preparedness within the center and throughout the community.
