In celebration of Earth Month 2025 with the theme, “Our Power, Our Planet”, the Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto led by Center Chief Mr. Rheo Henry Rodriguez, took active steps toward environmental advocacy through a series of meaningful environmental activities aimed at promoting sustainability and ecological awareness.
On April 22, 2025, RTCCL-Guiguinto participated in the webinar titled “Forum: Earth Day Celebration,” streamed via Zoom and Facebook Live. Themed “Skilled for Work, Responsible for M.E. (Mother Earth),” the online forum brought together participants from various sectors to highlight the crucial role of skilled workers in environmental protection and sustainable development. The session featured expert-led presentations and interactive discussions focused on integrating eco-conscious practices into technical and vocational professions.
Extending its commitment beyond the virtual platform, the center held a gardening and tree-planting activity on April 28, 2025, within the RTCCL compound. This on-ground initiative was actively participated by the center's employees and staff, along with personnel from the TESDA Bulacan Provincial Office, exemplifying strong inter-agency collaboration for a greener future.
The success of the activity was made possible through generous support from Mr. Luis Bausa, owner of Bausa Farm, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines–DRT. Their contributions included a variety of native and climate-resilient seedlings such as atis, camias, calamansi, avocado, guyabano, and malunggay stems, as well as vegetable crops like talong and sili.
Participants took part in every stage of the activity—from land preparation to the planting and initial care of the seedlings—demonstrating collective responsibility and hands-on commitment to environmental stewardship.
These initiatives underscore Regional Training Center Central Luzon-Guiguinto’s unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability. By blending knowledge-based advocacy with practical action, the center continues to foster a culture of ecological responsibility within its workforce and the wider community.
