On September 19, 2025, representing TESDA Region III, Mr. Rheo Henry M. Rodriguez, Center Chief of the Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto, attended the Stakeholders’ Collaborative Meeting for the Operationalization of the Senior Citizens Community Care Center (SC3C) spearheaded by the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) held in Malolos City, Bulacan.
The gathering brought together various government agencies and partners to foster collaboration and secure commitments in support of SC3C’s establishment and functionality, envisioned to provide holistic services and programs for the welfare of senior citizens.
In his message, Mr. Rodriguez underscored TESDA’s programs and initiatives that can benefit the elderly, particularly skills training and community-based programs designed to enhance productivity, promote livelihood opportunities, and encourage social engagement among senior citizens.
In a show of solidarity, TESDA joined other stakeholders in signing the Commitment Board with the NCSC, affirming its support for the SC3C’s operationalization.
As an initial contribution, TESDA pledged to provide free massage and haircut services for senior citizens, along with demonstrations in Soap Making, Pattern Making (Dressmaking), and PV System Off-Grid Installation during the launch of the SC3C.
By supporting the operationalization of SC3C, TESDA strengthens its role as a partner in promoting inclusive, lifelong learning opportunities, ensuring that senior citizens remain empowered, productive, and integrated into the community.
