The Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto , under the leadership of Center Chief Rheo Henry Rodriguez, successfully commenced the Driving NC II training program on February 20, 2025, for the uniformed personnel of the 70th Infantry (Matapat at Matatag) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army stationed at Brgy. Pulong Sampaloc, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan.
This initiative aims to equip the soldiers with essential driving competencies such as defensive driving, minor vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs, traffic rules and regulations, and road safety protocols, ensuring that they can perform their duties efficiently and safely.
Facilitated by Mr. Jeffrey M. Guevarra, Training Instruction Supervisor, the Training Induction Program provided an orientation for the soldiers, emphasizing the importance of technical skills development, discipline, and road safety awareness. Trainers Mr. Jonathan Señora and Mr. Wendy Olidar outlined the competencies during the intensive 15-day training.
In his message, Center Chief Rheo Henry Rodriguez underscored TESDA’s commitment to empowering uniformed personnel with practical and lifelong skills that enhance both operational efficiency and personal growth. He highlighted that driving is not merely about vehicle operation but also involves responsibility, situational awareness, and adaptability—critical values in military service.
LTC Ryan Joseph S. Cayton, Commanding Officer expressed his gratitude to TESDA RTCCL-Guiguinto for their unwavering support in providing high-quality technical training to the Philippine Army. He emphasized that the Driving NC II training program would significantly contribute to the unit’s mobility, mission readiness, and operational effectiveness.
