TESDA Regional Training Center Central Luzon-Guiguinto and TTI Advisory Council (TAC), successfully convened their first quarterly meeting on March 5, 2025.
The TAC meeting, chaired by Ms. Cristina Tuzon, TAC Chairman, was attended by key members including Mr. Rheo Henry Rodriguez, Center Chief of Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto; PD Maria Cristina Valenzuela and Ms. Lota Yasa, Department of Trade and Industry Bulacan; Mr. Michael Carlo Mariano, representative of Department of Science and Technology Bulacan; Ms. Beverlyn Rose de Alba, representative of Bulacan Polytechnic College; Mr. Jeffrey Guevarra, TAC Secretariat and Mr. Roderick Alcantara, RTCCL-Guiguinto Partnership Focal.
The council welcomed two new members: Mr. Benjamin Eusebio of Big Ben Group, representing the economic sector, and Mr. Marlon Leyesa of Bulacan State University, who joined as the new academe representative following the resignation of Dean Keano Piad.
Industry collaboration was a key focus with MacAire Cooling Industries Corp. and Solid Service provided insights into workforce demands, particularly in the HVACR sector. Additionally, they highlighted their collaboration with RTCCL-Guiguinto in implementing the industry-led training program for DomRAC NC II, reinforcing the importance of industry-government partnerships in workforce development. The meeting also explored a potential partnership with Big Ben Group to facilitate the registration of RTCCL-Guiguinto for the Driving (Passenger Bus/Straight Truck) NC III program to address the growing shortage of skilled truck drivers and strengthening workforce capabilities in the transportation and construction sector.
The council approved key resolutions including the application for accreditation as an Assessment Center in Mechatronics Servicing NC II, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) NC I and NC II, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) NC II.
The successful first-quarter TAC meeting reaffirmed RTCCL-Guiguinto’s commitment to strengthening industry partnerships and ensuring its training programs remain relevant and responsive to workforce needs. By continuously aligning its initiatives with labor market demands, the center plays a crucial role in developing a highly skilled workforce, enhancing employability, and driving sustainable economic growth in the region.
