SUSTAINABLE PROJECT WITH SOLAR ENERGY INITIATIVE
February 4, 2025
In a significant step toward sustainable energy and green technology, the Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto, under the leadership of Mr. Rheo Henry Rodriguez, successfully installed a 10-KW Grid-Tie Solar Panel system and 30 solar streetlights through its Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Installation NC II program and Training Cum Production initiative.
Guided by RTCCL-Guiguinto Trainer Engr. Arsenio Milagroso, 25 participants underwent an intensive 36-day training, equipping them with essential skills in site assessment, PV system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This hands-on approach not only strengthened their technical expertise but also reinforced the center’s commitment to environmental sustainability and institutional greening.
Over the past 10 months, the solar technology implementation has yielded tangible benefits, reducing utility costs and lowering the administrative building’s power consumption by an average of 28%. By integrating solar technology training into its programs, RTCCL-Guiguinto is actively contributing to the development of a skilled, future-ready workforce while supporting national goals for sustainable energy and economic growth.
